2024 Castello di Verduno, Verduno Basadone Pelaverga Cuvee_Le P'tit Paysan Jack's Hill Chardonnay soulful light-bodied Galician red whichThe historic Castello di Verduno estate, situated in the northernmost commune of Barolo, is managed by Gabriella Burlotto and Franco Bianco, with winemaking helmed by Mario Andrion since 2000. The estate was instrumental in preserving Pelaverga and one of the first producers to replant vineyards for the variety in 1972. The fruit is organically farmed on the southeast facing slopes of the Massara and Olmo districts in white, limestone dominant soils.
