c.1660 JOHN BUNYAN. Oak from the Pulpit of John Bunyan, Author of Pilgrim's Progress Slavery nor `man's inhumanity to man'An exceptional item. We knew these existed, but they appear inexplicably rare. During a need to conserve the famed tree pulpit of John Bunyan, preached from in Bedfordshire, 1660, a section of wood needed to be replaced. As a result, a few "scraps of precious material" were preserved and given to generous friends as a memento of the famed Bedford Tinker, and author of Pilgrim's Progress. We have never before had one to offer or seen one on the market.
